My Background
On the professional side, I currently split my time between serving as a part-time Executive Director of VegFest, Inc., a Worcester-based non-profit, and freelance writing for a variety of clients. A hold an M.A. in Professional Writing from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth.
In my role at VegFest, I have managed the New England VegFest, one of the largest vegan festivals in the country, for the past four years. I also oversee all VegFest fundraising, stewardship, marketing, and public relations communications and run a variety of programs and events promoting plant-based living.
As a freelance writer, I have worked with clients including the United Way of North Central Massachusetts, the Division of Marketing and Communications at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the Regional Environmental Council (REC) of Worcester, Wakeby Fire Associates, Faunalytics, and more.
My previous full-time roles includes Direct Marketing Communications Manager for the U.S. office of World Animal Protection (formally WSPA) and Communications Director for Maple Farm Sanctuary, a farm animal sanctuary in Massachusetts.
